In recent decades, the geopolitical competition between China and India, as two emerging Asian powers, has intensified in the field of developing regional and trans-regional economic and trade corridors. Meanwhile, the United States, as a trans-regional actor, is trying to manage and control this competition in favor of its strategic interests by using political, economic, and security tools. This article, using a qualitative method and an analytical-explanatory approach, examines the role of the United States in the geopolitical competition between China and India in the field of corridors. The main question of the article is: What is the role of the United States in the geopolitical competition between China and India in the field of corridors and what impact does this role have on the regional order? Data were collected from library sources and foreign policy documents and analyzed based on the theoretical framework of geopolitical competition. The findings show that China is seeking to increase its geopolitical influence in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe through the Belt and Road Initiative and the development of multiple regional corridors; in contrast, India is developing alternative corridors such as the North-South Corridor and, with direct US support, the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor. By strengthening India, opposing Chinese projects, and providing alternatives, the US is seeking to contain and manage Beijing’s expanding influence. This role of the US has not only intensified geopolitical competition but also significantly affected the balance of power in the area of regional and trans-regional corridors.
