Abstract
humanitarian documents is to avoid damaging to natural elements. The The main goal of protecting environment in the Islamic sources and Environment is God's gift that good usage and preservation of it, has increasing effects on human life and can cause promotion of human dignity. Islamic law and international human rights instruments have special attention to the environmental rules which relates to the common good of humanity, and both express that the "right" to environment brings "obligations and responsibilities" toward it. Therefore, any action that is inconsistent with the common interests of humanity must be prosecuted. Thebase of humanitarian law is respecting to the human dignity. Holy Quran verse 70 of Sura Asra Board "va Laqhad Karramna Bani Adam" focuses on the creation of mankind glorify God. One of the main responsibilities of human being is to preserve its life, and it requires living in a safe environment. Because of the importance of environmental conservation for human society and the increasing dangers that armed conflict and technology cause to natural elements, the idea of protection of environment has been raised in international community and being considered as the subject matter of many international conventions and other international sources. In a word, it can be concluded that the major Islamic sources and humanitarian instruments have special emphases on the protection of environment and prohibit the destruction of environment in armed conflicts.
