This study aimed to examine the theoretical and practical functions as a dialogue of civilizations, and the dialogue among civilizations to promote human rights and peace, to be studied. در اعصار مختلف، ادیان به دلایل گوناگون اقدام به گفت و گو و هم اندیشی با یکدیگر می پرداختند؛ زیرا نیاز به هم اندیشی مشترک را درک می نمودند و همزیستی و همبستگی جهان را جدای از یکدیگر نمی پنداشتند. بر همین اساس در زمان حاضر نیز اسناد بین المللی متعددی از جمله دو پیمان نامه بین المللی حقوق بشری تدوین یافتند تا بتوانند در کنار ارتقای حقوق بشر و مفاهیم مشترک میان تمامی ادیان، صلح را در سطح جهانی گسترش دهند و موجبات رفع ناهمگونی های غیرذاتی و غیرمهم را فراهم آورند که در این زمان نیز، گفت و گوی تمدنها همچنان دارای اهمیتی مهم است و نقش خود را از دست نداده است. نقش گفت و گوی تمدنها تا آنجا دارای اهمیت است که نه تنها می تواند صلح مثبت و دائمی را در سطح بین المللی موجب شود و توقف تعارض به مقدسات سایر ادیان را به طور قاطع مورد تثبیت قرار دهد، بلکه موجبات ارتقای مفاهیم نوین حقوق بشر را حتی در درون کشورها نیز به همراه داشته باشد. لذا در این پژوهش سعی شده است تا کارکردهای گفت و گوی تمدنها به صورت تئوری و عملی مورد بررسی قرار گیرند و نقش گفت و گوی میان تمدنهای جهانی بر ارتقای حقوق بشر و گسترش صلح، بررسی شوند. https://www.isjq.ir/article_93479_f27c413353bb0c88d9e8a1b720978ee6.pdf
